During the “Interactive poster session” on Wednesday at 6 pm - 8 pm poster presenters are asked to be present at their poster.
To support intense discussions between the participants throughout the conference we provide a permanent poster exhibition from Wednesday, October 11 to Friday, October 13.
The dimensions of the poster board are 120 cm wide and 150 cm high. Posters should be in A0 portrait (vertical) format.
Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors' names and affiliations as stated in the submitted abstract.
Mounting material for the hanging of posters will be available.
Put your poster up on Wednesday morning, latest 1/2 hour prior to the start of the poster session.
All posters should be taken down by 2 pm on Friday, October 13. Posters that have not been taken down by 2 pm will be dismantled and destroyed.
Four prizes will be awarded for the Best Poster for each of the four conference challenges. Please read the guidelines below carefully:
All posters will automatically be considered for the Best Poster prizes.
The judges will be drawn from the Scientific Teams for each conference challenge, and will select the best posters presented during the interactive poster session on Wednesday, 11 October.
The winners will be announced during the final conference session on Friday, 13 October.
The four winners of the Best Poster prizes will receive an award certificate and a book voucher made available by Springer.
The posters will be evaluated in terms of: originality, added value to existing research in the field, design and layout, argumentation (clarity, coherence & methodology), and overall impression.
Presentations will differ in length depending on the session format. Requirements regarding presentation length and content for workshop contributions will be provided by the workshop hosts directly.
Presentation slides can be either: (Windows) Powerpoint or PDF. Apple Keynote or Prezi presentations will be NOT accepted. The operating systems will be Windows 10. It will not be possible to connect your own Laptop to the projector. We recommend that you bring your presentation on a data stick or other portable memory device.
For plenary presentations please use 16:9 as presentation format.
Please upload your presentation at the Speakers´ Corner, next to the Info Desk at least 45 minutes before the session in which you will present. The Info Desk is open every day during the conference program from 8/8.30 am to 6 pm.
You will NOT be able to plug your own laptop into the conference projection system. If you require special technology for your presentation please email info@impactsworld.org well in advance of the conference and we will do our best to help you.
Impacts World 2017 will be held at the Kongresshotel Potsdam, a conference venue on the shore of the Templiner Lake. The hotel boasts a waterfront dock, roof terraces and a summer garden. The hotel is a modern construction which was added to the historical facilities built at the beginning of the twentieth century to host and maintain zeppelin airships. The venue is only a few minutes from Potsdam city centre.
